Connecting with Agencies

There are supported employment agencies in almost every community across the country. Getting help from an employment agency may be an important step for you. These agencies help people with disabilities, like intellectual disabilities and autism. Some may specialize in helping people with certain types of disabilities, while others may be a general service provider.

All supported employment agencies help people find and keep jobs that are a good fit for them. Agencies can help with things like looking for work, applying for jobs, writing a resume, and getting ready for an interview. They may also be able to provide on-the-job supports, like job coaching.

If you need specific tools or supports to do a job, an agency may be able to help you and the employer get those tools. They may also be able to find funds for supports.

These resources are meant to help you better understand what supported employment agencies are, how to select an agency that is fight for you, and the valuable resources, support, and opportunities they may provide. These resources can help you find and keep a job.
